Where is CitizenCard accepted?

UK retailers, pubs, clubs, and various other establishments across the country are strongly advised by the Police and the Home Office to accept proof of age cards that bear the PASS (Proof of Age Standards Scheme) hologram, including CitizenCard, a trusted and widely recognised form of photo ID.

In a proactive move towards promoting safer and more convenient means of identification, the Home Office initiated the "Leave your passport at home" campaign in December 2016. This nationwide campaign aims to encourage people to avoid carrying their passport for everyday proof of age and ID purposes, instead opting for a PASS card like the CitizenCard. By doing so, you can enjoy the benefits of a convenient and accepted form of identification while reducing the risk of losing or misplacing their passport.

You can use your CitizenCard as a valid ID for domestic flights within the UK. Additionally, it can be utilized as a voter ID, allowing the public to exercise their right to vote in elections and referendums across the country. For more information, visit the Why do I need a CitizenCard page.

TRUSTED ID SINCE 1999

The PASS hologram on each CitizenCard is endorsed by the Home Office, Police, SIA and retailers.
