How much does a CitizenCard cost?

The need to carry a form of photo ID in order to access age restricted goods and services usually entails the risk of carrying expensive documents such as passports or driving licences. Carrying a CitizenCard, which bears the PASS hologram, means cardholders are still able to access these without risking their more costly documents.

A standard application costs £18 (takes up to 21 days to process).

An urgent application costs £35 (takes 1-2 working days to process).

Replacement card costs £14 for standard service (takes up to 21 days to process) or £29 for urgent service (takes 1-2 working days to process).

Replace your CitizenCard photo ID if:

  • you lost your CitizenCard
  • your CitizenCard is damaged
  • you wish to obtain a higher age band UK photo ID, because you turned 16 or 18
  • your appearance has changed
  • your CitizenCard has expired (CitizenCards issued before 7th January 2021 do not expire; all CitizenCards printed from 7th January 2021 onwards expire 3 years after issuing)
  • your name has legally changed (a Marriage Certificate, Court Order or Change of Name Deed will be required)
  • you would like to get a Yoti CitizenCard

You can replace or renew your CitizenCard online at www.citizencard.com/card-replacement or download a replacement application form.

TRUSTED ID SINCE 1999

The PASS hologram on each CitizenCard is endorsed by the Home Office, Police, SIA and retailers.
